6年前的今天：科比退役之夜狂砍60分 深情演讲“Mamba Out”

说到我的家庭，我的妻子瓦妮莎。其实你们不知道，我在这里的最后一场比赛是对战的犹他爵士队。我真的很累，我说我可能坚持不了，可是我还有一场比赛要打，但我已经没有力气了。她说你要进行最后一场比赛了，我给你准备了个礼物。
然后她给我看了一排退役的球衣，有贝勒的、魔术师的、奥尼尔的、贾巴尔的，上面写着每个人送个我的话，包括来自迈克尔·乔丹，包括伟大的比尔-拉塞尔，包括来自伟大的拉里·伯德。当我看到这些时我知道我要振作起来，谢谢你宝贝成为了我的动力。
最后是我的女儿们娜塔莉亚、吉安娜、比安卡。我希望你们知道如果你们做了功课，你们努力了，梦想会成真的。你们知道我也知道，希望你们能从今晚学到，明白吗？那些你刻苦训练不眠的夜晚，不想工作的时刻，你太累了不想强迫自己的日子，但是你依然选择了坚持，这就是梦想。

Without them, I couldn't be here today. They inspired me to play the game at a higher level.Magic, Cap, Shaq pushing me every day. Baylor. Chamberlain. Goodrich. West. Worthy.

And she proceeded to show me the row of retired jerseys from Baylor, from Magic, from Shaq, from Cap, all with personal messages signed to me, including from Michael Jordan, including from the great Bill Russell, including from the great Larry Byrd. When I saw that, I knew then that I had to turn it up," Kobe recalled as his wife watched, smiling wide. "So, thank you, baby, for being an inspiration to me.

But hopefully what you get from tonight is that those times when you get up early and you work hard; those times when you stay up late and you work hard; those times when don’t feel like working — you’re too tired, you don’t want to push yourself — but you do it anyway. That is actually the dream. That’s the dream. It’s not the destination, it’s the journey. And if you guys can understand that, what you’ll see happen is that you won’t accomplish your dreams, your dreams won’t come true, something greater will. (Points to the rafters). And if you guys can understand that, then I’m doing my job as a father.”
